Organic vegetables are produced following principles that enhance the quality of environment through efficient utilized of renewable resources and soil and water management. These are such practices as crop rotation, composting, green manure, and biological pest control practices among others. The following practices are strictly banned in Organic farming such as Genetically modified organisms GMOs, artificial fertilizers, pesticides and Chemical radiations, sewage sludge.
Differences Between Organic and Conventionally Grown Vegetables
The nature the vegetables that are conventionally and organically grown are similar in many ways and diverge in one area, which is growing. Besides, in the traditional farming, synthetic chemical inputs have many responsibilities in enhancing crop productivity and affording insects shield. On the other hand, the organic farming works for the same purposes, but in a more natural and environmentally friendly way; for example, it uses crop rotation to maintain soil fertility and beneficial insects to combat pests.
